Shaun

Shaun is a queer pākeha man who has led research into harm reduction and chemsex.

Kia ora! I’m Shaun, a queer pākeha man currently working in the housing/homelessness sector for the Auckland City Mission. I’ve got a background in criminology and psychology, and have led research into the intersection of harm reduction and pleasure for men who do chemsex – something I also have lived experience of. I’m currently co-facilitating Rewired/Re-up, a harm reduction group focused on helping queer men change their relationship with meth, while working towards a PgCert in Alcohol and Other Drug Studies. Outside of the passion for drugs and harm reduction, I’m an avid plant dad, gamer, D&D geek, baker, and indie pop fan.
