Planning is a simple tool that’s commonly used for many different situations including getting through withdrawal symptoms, managing risky situations and triggers, avoiding relapsing (returning to old patterns of using drugs) and making changes to drug use.

How could it be helpful?

Creating a plan can help you get through challenging times and stick to your goals. This can include filling out a specific worksheet, jotting your thoughts down on paper or making a plan in your head. It’s also useful for helping you get through withdrawal that you might be experiencing from reducing or stopping your drug use.
